Calling all candy monsters! Come out for a howling good time with the Hillsborough Police Department at their annual trunk-or-treat event.
Visit from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 24 in the parking lot behind the Hillsborough Police Department, 127 N. Churton St. The event will include treats for children of all ages and kiddie rides provided by Efland Trash Service. All pets attending must be on a leash and well behaved.
The department started the event in 2017 to provide a safe alternative to walking on dark streets and to increase positive interactions between officers and youths.
Candy Donations
The department is seeking the community’s help to provide candy. Unopened, wrapped candy may be dropped off at the police station between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through Oct. 23. Candy donations also may be shipped to the station, 127 N. Churton St., Hillsborough, NC 27278.
