Apex EarthFest is an engaging, interactive festival for our local community, offering ways to learn about, participate in, and celebrate our planet.
This year’s celebration is centered around Sustainable Fashion and features:
- Live and roving performances featuring Holler Choir Band
- Sustainable Fashion Tips & More:
- Fashion show with clothing materials from Dorcas Ministries Thrift Store.
- Clothing swap with 416 Clothing Trade where you can bring your gently used, clean clothing to swap with your neighbors and find a new piece for your own closet! No money required to participate. Any clothing left over will be donated to local non-profits.
- Refabricate documentary showing
- Recycled accessory bar by Note in the Pocket features opportunities for attendees to create accessories like bracelets using recycled materials
- Pollinator and Plant Installations:
- Arbor Day planting with Town of Apex staff and elected officials
- Pollinator garden planting in front of the John M. Brown Community Center
- Food, Recycling, and Composting Offerings:
- Low waste food truck rodeo offering BPI-certified product containers including Arepa Culture, Buoy Bowls, and Peak City Cocktails (offering mocktails)
- Compost and recycling demonstrations by community partners
- Vendors Marketplace showcasing Apex-based and regional information and resources
- Town Information Booths showcasing multiple departments from the Town of Apex – stop by for conversation and fun freebies!
Schedule of Events
- 12:00 pm: Event kickoff with crafting and designing outfits
- 1:00 – 2:00 pm: Fashion Show
- 2:00 – 4:00 pm: Holler Choir Band takes the stage
Know Before You Go:
- Parking is available around Town Hall Campus
- The parking lot between Apex Town Hall and the John M. Brown Community Center will be closed
- Depending on the weather, this event may move indoors to the Apex Senior Center and JMB Community Center
- Town staff may be on site during the festival taking photos/video of festival events and attendees
