General Birthday Party Places in Raleigh NC + The Triangle
Not sure what kind of party to have? Start here! The spots below include some of the traditional birthday party favorites like adventure parks, bowling, and skating.
This section also highlights some of the most popular Raleigh birthday party venues that don’t necessarily fit into a specific theme. Honestly, there are so many places to have a birthday party in the Triangle that not all of them can be placed into a distinct category. This category then, will simply be labeled: “Awesome!”
United Skates of America (Raleigh)
There’s nothing like a classic roller skating party. I had one for my 11th birthday! United Skates of America offers a variety of party packages for kids’ parties, with a lot to choose from for the birthday kid and their guests. They even have a pink-hued Barbie theme party, which is so on trend right now! Also, this isn’t just a skating rink; they also have an arcade so kids can play games in between spins around the rink.
Museum of Life + Science (Durham)
We love visiting the Museum of Life + Science. They offer birthday parties in both Standard and Deluxe formats. With the Deluxe parties, kids can choose a theme such as Dinosaurs, Bugs, or Legos, and the party package comes with a 30-minute program on their chosen theme. The various themes are geared to ages 4-12 or 5-12.
Buffaloe Lanes North (Raleigh)
If you’re looking for a bowling birthday party in Raleigh, Buffaloe Lanes North is where to go. This bowling alley prides itself on being a family friendly venue, and their party packages are very reasonably priced.

They have parties geared towards different age ranges, including Pre-K options, and you can also select add-ons like a stilt walker, juggler, or face painter!
Pullen Park (Raleigh)
One of the most beloved Raleigh party venues is a place that has been around for more than 100 years. Pullen Park is one of the Triangle’s gems, and is actually the 5th oldest operating amusement park in the entire US. With a gorgeous carousel, a train, playgrounds, and much more in this pretty space, it’s ideal for a spring or summer birthday party.
While they don’t host or offer any organized party packages, you can rent their outdoor covered pavilions by the hour. A great way to take advantage of the park and have a special space for cake and presents, too.
TreeRunner Adventure Park (Raleigh)
This aerial adventure park offers thrills up in the trees. Their birthday party packages offer 3 hours of climb time, including instruction, for guests ages 7 and older. With 90 obstacles and 24 ziplines, your birthday kid will have an absolute blast here. Have younger kids? Check out their Junior Park Birthday Party Package which is suited for kids ages 4-7!
Partee Shack (Raleigh)
Mini golf is the main attraction at the Partee Shack, with 3 indoor courses of 18-hole mini golf. But the courses are far from boring, with their own obstacles mixed in. After playing a few rounds, kids can try out the arcade games or grab a snack. When it comes to ParTees, everyone is in for a lot of fun. Choose from their indoor private party room or the outdoor covered patio.
Polar Ice Cary (Cary)
Polar Ice is an ice skating rink in Cary that offers reasonably priced party packages. These include cupcakes, which is a nice bonus if you’re not wanting to prepare the birthday dessert yourself. They also have some really cool add-ons you can choose for your party, like a hot chocolate bar or a special theme.

Eureka! You’ve found the perfect birthday party place in Cary NC! Especially if your child dreams of being a gem miner. At Blue Gemstone, kids get to do more than just pan for gems. HOMe Yoga Studio & the Winebrary (Rolesville)
Wow, I’m just discovering the HOMe Yoga Studio & the Winebrary and it is SO COOL! What a neat concept! A yoga studio and a wine lounge may not sound like the typical kids birthday party venue, but it sounds pretty awesome to this mama!
