It’s almost Valentine’s Day in North Carolina…and, well everywhere! If you’re a parent, you know that celebrating Valentine’s Day changes once you have kids. It’s no longer just a day about romance, roses, and a fancy dinner (although I 100% think parents deserve their own special Valentine’s date and should plan one!)
But now, Valentine’s Day becomes more about family love! Fortunately, if you live near the Triangle area, there are loads of Valentine’s events in Raleigh and beyond, and many of these are meant for the whole family.
Here are a few Raleigh Valentine’s Day events I’ve found happening locally to fill your February with love and fun! More events will continue to be added as they are announced.

Valentine’s Day Farm at My Little Farmer (Durham)
I can think of nothing cuter than a sheep-kissing booth! This is the sweetest Valentine’s event for littles. In fact, we went last year to check it out and had a blast. You can see a video of our experience here.

Fairy Tale Tea – Marbles Kids Museum (Raleigh)
While this isn’t strictly a Valentine’s event, there’s no denying that there’s nothing more romantic than a fairytale! At this Fairy Tale Tea, guests can enjoy magical activities, majestic treats and enchanting encounters with fanciful characters! Sounds dreamy!

Ties & Tiaras Sneaker Ball – The Durham Armory (Durham)
This special evening is a celebration of love and family—whether you’re a dad, grandpa, uncle, or caregiver, you’re invited to create core memories with you’re little one(s).

Heartthrob: What Makes Us Tick – Museum of Life & Science (Durham)
Let’s get….clinical! Science-minded kiddos will enjoy learning all about this amazing organ: the human heart. After hands-on activities, guests can visit the animals at the museum and interact with some Valentine’s Day-themed animal enrichment.

Valentines With Goats – Spring Haven Farm (Chapel Hill)
Spring Haven Farm always has the coolest events and this is no exception. Come share your love with their sweet animals and spend the day exploring the farm. Kids will love riding the tractor train!

4th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance – Party Like a Princess + Haven Farm (Knightdale)
This magical afternoon includes photos, crafts, performances, games, and of course, dancing! Recommended age is 3-10 but all are welcome.

Daddy Daughter Dance – Piney Town Playhouse (Fuquay-Varina)
Here’s another option for Dad’s and daughters to dance dance dance! This is such a popular event that Piney Town is holding parties on 5 separate nights! Every little girl will receive a sparkling princess tiara to wear.

Love Potions: Sensory & Science Class – Bumble Brews (Raleigh)
