35+ Indoor Playgrounds in Raleigh & The Triangle

Amy Hartle

My family has visited (nearly) every one of these indoor playgrounds in Raleigh and the Triangle. We are incredibly lucky to have such a variety right here in the Triangle! And I can tell you insider tips: what spots are the best for toddlers, what’s best avoided on a weekend, and what makes each play space special.

Indoor play comes in many forms, from classic indoor playgrounds using soft play equipment, tunnels, obstacle courses, and ball pits, to indoor adventure parks with indoor go-karting, mini-golf, and more.

This guide covers them all, highlighting more than 35 local indoor play spaces, including museums, arcades, trampoline parks, and more. They’re organized by town below. Happy playing!

Please note: Information in this article is accurate as of July 2026. Always check with the business for most up-to-date information.

Big Bear Bounce just opened in South Durham in April 2025! Love this new addition to the area.

This is a bounce-house focused indoor play place that is geared towards kids 2-9. This spot is colorful, owned by kind and friendly locals, and was a big hit with my 3-year old.

It’s smaller than some of the other similar playgrounds, which, to me, is a bonus. It’s easy to keep an eye on my child.

They also have a cool feature where you can place an order with the nearby coffee shop, Anissa’s Spot, and they will deliver it right to the playground. Love that.

Town of Fun

Town of Fun just opened in Summer 2024, making it a relatively recent addition to the Triangle. And it has quickly become one of our absolute favorites.

Town of Fun is a tiny town designed for kids up to age 7. The play space is set up with half a dozen kid-sized shops and businesses: a fire station, hair salon, auto shop, grocery store, and more. Kids can pretend play to their hearts’ desire here.

The space itself is large and has lots of natural light. There’s lots of room and seating for parents to relax while kids play. This is one of those places where it is SO WORTH getting a membership. They offer birthday party packages as well.

The owners have done a fantastic job creating this charming space, and I appreciate all the attention to detail and special touches.

While this isn’t technically in Fuquay-Varina, it is super close by in Angier, and I’d definitely still consider this part of the Triangle.

The Sipping Squirrel is one of the area’s newest indoor play spots. It is cozy and cute, and they have terrific drinks!

I’d recommend this space for kids up to 4 or 5. It’s on the small side and probably wouldn’t be as exciting for kids older than that. There’s also not a lot of space to run, so it’s ideal for toddlers and littles.

Special Times opened in June 2025 in Garner, and it’s a great addition to the area! This indoor play space is designed for kids up to 10, but having visited, I think this is best for toddlers and preschool-aged kids.

There are lots of things to do and play with, from dollhouses to lego tables, giant blocks, a slide structure, dress up outfits, imaginative play in toy kitchens and supermarket, and lots more.

There are snacks, beverages, and baked goods available at the front of the shop, plus a few tables to sit and enjoy them.
